OAT (OpenLink AJAX Toolkit) is a JavaScript-based toolkit for browser-independent Rich Internet Application development. OAT OATIt includes a rich collection of UI Widgets/Controls, Event Management System, and a truly platform independent Data Access Layer called AJAX Database Connectivity. OAT comes with sample applications for interactive SQL query composition and database design. These applications work against any Microsoft XML for Analysis (XML/A) servers, such as OpenLink Virtuoso and others. OAT is released under a GNU General Public License and you can find a collection of great demos available on the framework’s website

The latest release OAT 2.0 introduces new functions, improved browser support, quicker loading speedm and other small bugfixes. New features include: an Enhanced Anchor tag enabling data-access query (SQL, RDF, XML, and Web Services) lookup integration with word- and phrase-based hyperlinks; Declarative Markup support; in-demand component loading; SVG-based widgets (an RDF graph visualizer, line chart, sparklines, and pie chart); a new window-style; Connection and DataSource objects for easier use of AJAX database connectivity across SQL, XML, RDF, and other Web Services-based data sources; and an Advanced Tree widget.
